Around The League
  • Weekend Warriors won this week, even without starting a top-30 scoring WR.
  • JohnWick used pass-catchers to their advantage by starting the league's top-scoring WR (Godwin with 35.50 points) and the top-scoring TE (Kmet with 24.00) this week.
  • No surprise here: teams have won 66.7% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (2-1 overall).
  • Teams have won 57.6% of the time this season when they throw no picks in a week.
  • Kiwis has fallen short of their projected score each week this season.
  • THUNDERBIRDS has now decreased their score each of the past four weeks.
  • THUNDERBIRDS probably wishes they had started Baker Mayfield. The 25.90 points he scored would have represented the fifth-highest individual score this week.
  • The 160.00 points scored by JohnWick were the most this week and the third-highest overall in the league this season.

Week 6 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Powered by Stars, Weekend Warriors Brings Down Los Flacos II

The triple threat of Joe Mixon, Bijan Robinson, and Jayden Daniels led the way, as Weekend Warriors picked up a win against Los Flacos II 125.76 to 88.86. That threesome combined to tally 73.66 points, winning the battle against the top scorers from Los Flacos II (Diontae Johnson, Tony Pollard, and CeeDee Lamb), who totaled 53.70 points. Mixon scored two touchdowns, registering 27.20 points (102 Rsh Yds, 30 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD). Robinson delivered two touchdowns to contribute 25.50 points (95 Rsh Yds, 2 TD), while Daniels chipped in 20.96 points (269 Pas Yds, 2 TD). Mixon also recorded his highest point total of the season, with Robinson tallying his highest point total of the season. To make matters worse, Los Flacos II had two starters score zero points (Marvin Harrison Jr. and James Cook). Weekend Warriors (5-1, 733.56 points) climbs into first place, while Los Flacos II (4-2, 664.40 points) drops to fourth place.

There was one glaring player on Weekend Warriors that let some chances slip away. Even though DK Metcalf saw a total of 11 targets, he only reeled in three catches.

Weekend Warriors was on another level in the backfield, as they started two of the league's top-10 overall RBs this week (including Mixon, who was in the top five). Since Mixon was the leading point-getter for Weekend Warriors, it means a different player has now topped the team in each of the past five weeks. With 28.90 points, DK Metcalf paced the squad in Week 2, while Malik Nabers put up 28.20 points to lead the way in Week 3. Jordan Mason (24.00 points) was tops in Week 4 and Jayden Daniels (19.72 points) led in Week 5. Also, with 14 targets this week for Lamb, it means that his targets have now increased in three consecutive games.

Next week, Weekend Warriors gets Sherron Steelers Fan 4ever-24 (2-4, 643.46), while Los Flacos II matches up with Zakiz Aliyaz Cowboyz Bearz (3-3, 687.58).
