Smash Mouth 1 got past Jefferson Chiefs, who struggled to put up points this week, 94.92 to 86.50. This was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands three times, with the largest lead being 14.42 points after Sunday night. Jefferson Chiefs beat expectations and got 17.1% more points than projected (73.90) while Smash Mouth 1 scored 90.6% of a projected 104.75 points. Smash Mouth 1 (3-3, 648.44 points) climbs into fifth place and Jefferson Chiefs (3-3, 647.22 points) drops to sixth place.
It wasn't all bad news for Jefferson Chiefs, as they did field a squad of real-life winners. Every starter except Dustin Hopkins played on a victorious NFL team in Week 6. While DJ Moore led Smash Mouth 1 with 27.50 points in Week 5, Brown paced the squad this week with 23.60.
