The Bills signed White to a one-year contract worth up to $6.8 million Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Analysis: White, of course, was the 27th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Bills and spent the first seven seasons of his career with Buffalo, making a pair of Pro Bowls while being named a first-team All-Pro once. Injuries then took a toll on the cornerback, and the 30-year-old spent last season splitting time with the Rams and Ravens, playing in 11 regular-season contests. He'll try to rebound his career in a familiar environment.

      Tonges re-signed with the 49ers on a one-year, $1.03 million contract Thursday.

Analysis: It's the value of the exclusive rights tender for Tonges, who appeared in 16 regular-season games last season but saw just 34 snaps on offense. He played 232 snaps on special teams, and that figures to be where he'll fit in next season, should he make the 53-man roster.

The Bills waived Rogers (Achilles) with a non-football injury designation Thursday.

Analysis: Rogers suffered a torn Achilles tendon while training early March, resulting in his now being waived for Buffalo to clear up roster space ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. The reserve tight end's road to recovery could be made more difficult by the fact that he previously suffered a torn Achilles in May of 2023.

    • Rodgers said Thursday on the Pat...

Rodgers said Thursday on the Pat McAfee Show his decision whether or not to play this season is not "about the money" and that he would "play for $10 million," Brooke Pryorand Rich Cimini of ESPN report.

Analysis: "I never once said I needed a multi-year deal," Rodgers said, doubling down on the notion that if he does opt to suit up in 2025, the decision will be made solely based upon team circumstance and fit. The 41-year-old QB also made clear that his "focus" currently is "and will continue to be" his personal life, noting that "retirement still could be a possibility." Rodgers has been oft linked to the Steelers since being released by the Jets, especially in the wake of the Giants signing both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, but Pittsburgh is now only one week away from heading into the 2025 NFL Draft without a clear commitment from Rodgers, which could motivate the team to make other moves at the position.

The Bears signed Edwards to a two-year, $20 million contract extension Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Analysis: Edwards was headed into the final year of his three-year, $19.5 million deal but is now locked up through the 2027 campaign. Edwards has started all 17 regular-season games each of the last three seasons and has posted four consecutive 100-tackle campaigns. In 2024, Edwards recorded 129 tackles (79 solo), including a career-best 4.0 sacks, three pass breakups, including one interception, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He played 99 percent of the Bears' defensive snaps and should again function as an every-down linebacker for new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.
