Week 8 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Desert Diablos Gets Win over Nightghost to Move into 4th Place

Desert Diablos logged the highest point total in the league this week to get the win over Nightghost 132.42 to 117.44. Desert Diablos piled up 30.8% more points than projected (101.25) while Nightghost just fell short of hitting their projections and scored 96.5% of their projected 121.66 points. Nightghost was led by Trey McBride with 21.40 points (124 Rec Yds) and Jahmyr Gibbs, who scored 20.30 (127 Rsh Yds, 1 TD). The result might have been even worse as Desert Diablos had a starter score zero points (Tee Higgins). Desert Diablos (4-4, 980.44 points) climbs into fourth place and Nightghost (3-5, 851.00 points) stays in seventh place.

There was a player on both teams that had plenty of chances but left some points out on the field. On the winning side, James Conner got 22 touches but only tallied 69 total yards, while Kareem Hunt managed just 63 yards on 22 touches for Nightghost. One slot where Nightghost wishes they could get a re-do is QB. Kyler Murray could have started in place of Jordan Love, and that point difference would've been enough to change the outcome.

It wasn't all bad news for Nightghost, as they did field a team of real-life winners. Every starter except Zay Flowers played on an NFL team that won in Week 8. While Derrick Henry led Desert Diablos with 25.20 points in Week 7, Kelce paced the squad this week with 25.00.

Desert Diablos gets Max Chubb (4-4, 907.70) next week, while Nightghost faces Patrik (2-6, 822.92).
