Captain Kirk's Crew Creeps By Blackjack, Moves to 3rd Place
A primetime comeback on both Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football wasn't meant to be for Blackjack. They put up 29.80 points on SNF and 54.70 on MNF (combining to be 61% of their total score), but Captain Kirk's Crew still got the 139.24 to 137.58 victory. The late-match efforts were somewhat unexpected, considering their pregame projections forecasted 13.28 points on Sunday night and 41.75 on Monday. Captain Kirk's Crew was led by Breece Hall this week (78 Rsh Yds, 43 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD). Hall scored two touchdowns and contributed 31.10 points in the narrow victory. Cooper Kupp also pitched in with 28.60 points by getting two touchdowns (106 Rec Yds, 2 TD). The 1.66-point win represented the second-tightest in the league this year, as well. Captain Kirk's Crew (7-4, 1,355.34 points) climbs into third place, while Blackjack (10-1, 1,550.24 points) stays in first place.
Since Hall was the top point-getter for Captain Kirk's Crew, it means a different player has led the team in each of the last four weeks. With 29.76 points, Bo Nix paced the squad in Week 8, while Cooper Kupp (21.40 points) was tops in Week 9 and Calvin Ridley (25.40 points) last week.
