Led by the trio of Chris Godwin, Jordan Love, and A.J. Brown, Purple Reign tore apart Lima Challengers 155.52 to 68.52. That threesome joined forces to score 84.72 points, beating the total of Lima Challengers. Godwin scored two touchdowns, accounting for 35.50 points (125 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Love came through with four passing touchdowns to contribute 25.62 points (258 Pas Yds, 4 TD/1 Int), while Brown tacked on 23.60 points (116 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Also, Godwin recorded the highest point total in the league this week. Purple Reign had the top score of the week, while also recording the largest margin of victory in the league this season. Adding insult to injury, Lima Challengers got goose eggs from both Marvin Harrison Jr. and James Cook. Lima Challengers (3-3, 684.12 points) drops to sixth place, while Purple Reign (5-1, 835.40 points) remains in first place.
Saquon Barkley had plenty of chances for Purple Reign, but he logged just 54 total yards on 20 touches.
Since Godwin was the leading point-getter for Purple Reign, it means a different player has now topped the team in each of the past five weeks. With 29.50 points, De'Von Achane paced the squad in Week 2, while Saquon Barkley put up 33.60 points to lead the way in Week 3.
