      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Chris Beats Balls Deep, Nabs League Consolation Championship

Chris beat Balls Deep 122.78 to 104.72 for their second win in as many head-to-head matchups. Their overall record goes to 9-8, while Balls Deep drops to 8-9. Mike Evans scored two touchdowns and was the key player this week, garnering 29.70 points. Evans has turned out to be a nice third-round selection for Chris, averaging 17.12 points per game. The outcome could have been worse as Chris had a starter score zero points (David Njoku).

For the victorious side, several players have been playoff studs, including Evans and Puka Nacua. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 62% and 49%, respectively. Conversely, Chris has a few players moving in the wrong direction. The Minnesota Vikings DEF and Rachaad White have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Balls Deep had a couple of players performing their best in the playoffs: Sam LaPorta and Isaac Guerendo. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 16.35 and 6.95 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 72% and 31%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 11.53 points on the season, Chris Boswell mustered just 5.50 per game in the playoffs.

Chris finished the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-8. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly better (fourth with 115.85). In their only other postseason game on their march to the consolation title, Chris took down The Coomb Raiders, 153.04 to 114.70. Balls Deep concluded the regular season in fifth place with a record of 7-8. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly better (third with 120.93). In their only other postseason game of the season, Balls Deep defeated Diddy Men, 113.18 to 108.32.
