Ernest Spanks Jeffrey, Adds Insult to Injury
Ernest put up the second-highest score this week to stomp Jeffrey 153.72 to 100.50. Ernest took a 2.20-point lead on Sunday afternoon and maintained that advantage for the rest of the matchup. Jeffrey has lost their last six in a row. Jeffrey actually averages more per game in losses (107.87) than wins (92.04). On top of the loss, Jeffrey had a starter score zero points (DK Metcalf). Jeffrey (2-6, 831.28 points) drops to ninth place and Ernest (5-3, 1,076.34 points) remains in fourth place.
Kareem Hunt had plenty of chances for Ernest, but he logged just 63 total yards on 22 touches.
Since Jacobs was the leading point-getter for Ernest, it means a different player has now topped the team in each of the past five weeks. With 23.40 points, Mike Evans paced the squad in Week 4, while Ja'Marr Chase put up 41.30 points to lead the way in Week 5.
