Week 14 Recap: Tuesday Edition
Marvmagic Handles Timopeng, Gets Redemption
Marvmagic annihilated Timopeng 124.70 to 14.30 while putting up the sixth-highest score of the season. Marvmagic took a 9.10-point lead on Thursday and remained in front for the rest of the matchup. This beatdown was revenge for a loss to Timopeng in their last meeting a season ago. To make matters worse, Timopeng had several starters score zero points. Marvmagic (7-7, 1,311.32 points) remains in fifth place and Timopeng (2-12, 897.02 points) is still looking up at everyone from the cellar.
De'Von Achane had plenty of chances for Marvmagic, but he logged just 69 total yards on 20 touches.
To go along with the fantasy victory, Marvmagic was savvy enough to select winners in real life, as well. Among all of their starters, David Njoku is the only one whose NFL team didn't win this week. Since Jefferson was the leading point-getter for Marvmagic, it means a different player has now topped the team in each of the past five weeks. With 13.40 points, Chase Brown paced the squad in Week 10, while David Montgomery put up 21.50 points to lead the way in Week 11. De'Von Achane (17.60 points) was tops in Week 12 and C.J. Stroud (14.38 points) led last week.
Marvmagic will be riding momentum into next week against Cologne Giants Pride (7-7, 1,352.66), a team they defeated in Week 8. Timopeng will be plotting revenge against Bavaria Beavers (6-8, 1,225.84), who they lost to in Week 8.
