Three Is the Magic Number, as Marvmagic Will Play for Consolation Championship
With the trio of Justin Jefferson, De'Von Achane, and Baker Mayfield leading the way, Marvmagic humiliated Timopeng 107.32 to 63.84. Combining for 73.72 points, that threesome alone eclipsed the total of Timopeng. Jefferson scored two touchdowns, accumulating 26.40 points (144 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Mayfield recorded 303 passing yards to contribute 22.32 points (303 Pas Yds, 42 Rsh Yds, 2 TD/1 Int), while Achane helped out with 25.00 points (120 Rsh Yds, 70 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Jefferson also recorded his highest point total of the season, with Achane tallying his highest point total of the season. Marvmagic played one starter with zero points while Timopeng served up two goose eggs, meaning both teams left points off the scoreboard.
For the winning team, two players have been playing their best at the right time: Jefferson and Chase Brown. Over the past month, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 51% and 32%, respectively. On the other hand, Marvmagic has a pair of players moving in the wrong direction.
