Week 8 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Jerusalem Cheeseheads Gets Late Win over Scandinavian Stars

Jerusalem Cheeseheads (2-6, 827.54 points) beat Scandinavian Stars (3-5, 877.28 points) 128.90 to 119.28. They were led by Brock Purdy (260 Pas Yds, 56 Rsh Yds, 1 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) with 26.00 points and Cade Otton (81 Rec Yds, 2 TD), who had 24.60. Jerusalem Cheeseheads took the early lead, up 76.90 to 74.10, after they scored the bulk of their points during the first set of Sunday games. After the late Sunday games, they lost that lead and fell behind 104.28 to 99.60. By the end of the Cowboys/49ers game on Sunday night, Jerusalem Cheeseheads was on top by 6.32 and they stayed there through the rest of the matchup.

There was one important player on Jerusalem Cheeseheads that let some chances slip away. Even though Keenan Allen saw a total of seven targets, he only reeled in two catches. One position where Scandinavian Stars really made a regrettable choice is quarterback. Justin Herbert could have started in place of Geno Smith, and that point difference would've been enough to change the outcome.

While DK Metcalf led Jerusalem Cheeseheads matches (with 17.90 points), Purdy has now been the team's leading scorer in two of the past three weeks.
