Week 15 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Guatemala City Tamales beat City Of Champions 138.12 to 110.84 and got the second-highest score this week. Guatemala City Tamales got the best of City Of Champions again in the playoffs. In the teams' previous postseason tilt, Guatemala City Tamales reigned supreme in the consolation opening round in 2023. City Of Champions was led by the Cincinnati Bengals DEF with 28.00 points (27 PA, 1 TD, 1 Sack, 4 Int, 2 Fum) and A.J. Brown, who scored 21.00 (110 Rec Yds, 1 TD). With Cooper Kupp delivering zero points for Guatemala City Tamales, the result might have been even worse.
There was one starter on City Of Champions that let some chances slip through his hands. Even though Courtland Sutton saw a total of nine targets, he reeled in just three catches. One spot where City Of Champions really made a regrettable decision is QB. Jared Goff could have started in place of Tua Tagovailoa, and that point difference would've been enough to change the outcome.
For the winners, a pair of players have been peaking at the right time: Pat Freiermuth and Rico Dowdle. Over the past four fantasy matchups, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 53% and 33%, respectively. On the other hand, Guatemala City Tamales has a player heading in the opposite direction. Cooper Kupp has substantially underperformed his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, City Of Champions also had two players peaking for the postseason: the Cincinnati D and Jordan Addison. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 15.00 and 19.67 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 67% and 52%.
Guatemala City Tamales moves on to the semifinals where they will face No. 8-seeded Scandinavian Stars. These teams last met in Week 5, with Guatemala City Tamales winning, 147.76 to 121.86. City Of Champions concluded the regular season in fifth place with a record of 6-8. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly better (third with 123.32). City Of Champions was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup. They delivered their fair share of beatdowns this year, as they registered four blowout victories on the season.
