Week 7 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Guatemala City Tamales Narrowly Beats Milan Wild Boars, Tacks On 4th Consecutive Win

A primetime comeback on Monday Night Football (55.50 points, 48% of their total score) wasn't enough for Milan Wild Boars, as Guatemala City Tamales pulled out the 119.30 to 114.84 victory. The late-match efforts were a little unexpected, considering their original Monday projection was only 46.63 points. Guatemala City Tamales was led by the Denver Broncos DEF this week, who added 26.00 points (10 PA, 1 TD, 6 Sack, 2 Fum). Kenneth Walker III also helped out with 22.30 points by getting two touchdowns (69 Rsh Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD). With Rashid Shaheed delivering zero points for Guatemala City Tamales, the result might have been even worse. Also, the 4.46-point win for Guatemala City Tamales was the second-tightest in the league this year. Guatemala City Tamales (5-2, 770.36 points) remains in fifth place, while Milan Wild Boars (3-4, 802.36 points) stays in seventh place.

Cook had plenty of opportunities for Milan Wild Boars, but could only manage 32 total yards on 12 touches.

Since the Broncos Defense was the leading point-getter for Guatemala City Tamales, it means a different player has now topped the team in each of the past five weeks. With 17.00 points, Amon-Ra St. Brown paced the squad in Week 3, while Baker Mayfield put up 28.88 points to lead the way in Week 4. Drake London (27.40 points) was tops in Week 5 and Jordan Love (24.62 points) led last week. It wasn't all bad news for Milan Wild Boars, as they did put together a team of real-life winners. Every starter played on a winning NFL team in Week 7.

Guatemala City Tamales meets London Falling (5-2, 848.58) in Week 8. Milan Wild Boars will square off against Toronto Bandits (5-2, 887.24).
