Week 9 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Guatemala City Tamales Gets Victory over Jerusalem Cheeseheads

Guatemala City Tamales picked up 19.20 points from Rico Dowdle (75 Rsh Yds, 32 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and 18.00 from Baker Mayfield (200 Pas Yds, 2 TD), taking down Jerusalem Cheeseheads 122.80 to 101.60. Guatemala City Tamales took a 7.40-point lead on Sunday afternoon and held the lead throughout the matchup. This win was revenge for a loss to Jerusalem Cheeseheads in their last meeting a season ago. The Tampa Bay QB (acquired via free agency in Week 1) and Jakobi Meyers (acquired via free agency in Week 1) made a big impact, posting 18.00 and 14.50 points, respectively. Guatemala City Tamales (6-3, 977.00 points) remains in fifth place and Jerusalem Cheeseheads (2-7, 929.14 points) stays in 11th place.

Both squads had a starter that missed out on opportunities. Interestingly enough, Dalton Kincaid (on Guatemala City Tamales) and Keenan Allen (Jerusalem Cheeseheads) were able to match each other's futility. They each saw 10 targets, yet could reel in just four catches apiece.

Since Dowdle was the leading scorer for Guatemala City Tamales, it means a different player has now led the team in each of the last seven matches.
