      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

SHAGUAR Pounds The Goat to Get to Consolation Championship

SHAGUAR made a statement this go-round, with a 127.50 to 85.36 blowout to stay undefeated in two matchups against The Goat. Their record improves to 9-7, while The Goat falls to 5-11. A.J. Brown (97 Rec Yds, 1 TD) led the way this week, grabbing 23.70 points. The Philadelphia WR has turned out to be a nice first-round selection for SHAGUAR, scoring an average of 17.03 points per game. To make matters worse, The Goat had a starter score zero points (Younghoe Koo).

There was one starter on The Goat that left points out on the field. Despite being targeted seven times, DK Metcalf could manage just three catches.

For the victors, two players have been warming up at the right time: Jordan Addison and Brown. Over the past four games, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 50% and 33%, respectively. Despite the loss, The Goat had a couple of players peaking for the postseason: Davante Adams and the Kansas City Chiefs DEF. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 26.52 and 9.50 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 94% and 51%. Conversely, the losers had a pair of players who were fading down the stretch: Kyle Pitts and Amari Cooper.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when SHAGUAR matches up against No. 2-seeded Centurions UK. SHAGUAR has a 1-1 record against Centurions UK this season. The Goat ended the regular season in eighth place with a record of 5-10. They also ranked eighth in the league with 92.93 points per game. The Goat was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
