      • CHUCKMON TARGARYEN is on a 16-game winning streak.
      • Fineaglers earned the win this week despite not starting a top-15 scoring QB.
      • SHAGUAR has now increased their score each of the past three weeks.
      • No surprise here: teams have won 61.5% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (8-5 overall).
      • Gerardo started the league's top-scoring QB (Burrow with 36.98 points) and the top-scoring TE (McBride with 30.30) this week.
      • Centurions UK is on a three-game winning streak.
      • The Goat probably wishes they had started Baker Mayfield. The 34.56 points he scored would have represented the fourth-highest individual score this week.
      • Teams have won only 24.1% of the time this season (7-22) when they fail to throw a Pass TD.

      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Centurions UK Beats SHAGUAR for League Consolation Championship

Centurions UK got the fifth-highest score of the season to beat SHAGUAR 175.82 to 133.50. Centurions UK took a 16.82-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. Centurions UK goes to 2-1 this season against SHAGUAR, including a Week 15 shellacking (176.00 to 97.78). Centurions UK, already one of the highest-scoring teams in the league this season, beat their 128.33 per game average by 37%.

Both sides were savvy enough to pick winners in real life. Among all starters on Centurions UK and SHAGUAR, Breece Hall and Joe Mixon are the only ones that played on a losing NFL team this past week. Also, with 12 targets this week for Tee Higgins, it means that his targets have now increased in three consecutive games.

For the victors, several players have been postseason stars, most notably the Cincinnati WR and the Philadelphia Eagles DEF. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 160% and 82%, respectively. Conversely, Centurions UK has two players moving in the wrong direction. Zach Charbonnet and Hall have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, SHAGUAR also had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, including Bucky Irving and Patrick Mahomes. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 20.60 and 24.85 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 51% and 45%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 15.39 points on the season, Mixon mustered just 7.00 per game in the playoffs.

Centurions UK finished the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-8. Better than their record indicated, they ranked third in the league in points per game with 126.52. In their only other postseason game on their voyage to the consolation championship, Centurions UK took down Fineaglers, 108.04 to 92.84. They handed out their fair share of beatdowns this year, as they racked up four blowout victories on the season. SHAGUAR wrapped up the regular season in fifth place with a record of 8-7. They also ranked fifth in the league with 117.47 points per game. In their only other postseason game of the season, SHAGUAR dismantled The Goat, 127.50 to 85.36.
